Follow along to learn how to make air fryer pizza!
- Step One: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and set it for a 7-minute cooking time.

- Step Three: Brush pizza dough with olive oil on all sides—place dough in the air fryer basket.
- Step Four: Spread on pizza sauce. Top with cheese, pepperoni, and green pepper (or any other toppings you like).

- Cooked Italian Sausage
- Cooked meatballs
- Cooked chicken
- Pineapple

Recipe Tips and Tricks
- Assemble the pizza in the air fryer. Do not try to assemble it outside the air fryer and transfer it in. I’ve been there and done that, and I don’t recommend it. Getting the dough in there is much easier, as is adding all your toppings inside the basket.
- Use TWO spatulas to remove the pizza from the air fryer. These aren’t little pizzas. You could lose toppings if you attempt to remove the pizza with only one spatula. Put a spatula under the two sides of the pizza and carefully lift it out to a plate.
- Every air fryer is different. My Ninja Foodi Air Fryer cooks this pizza perfectly in 7 minutes. Keep an eye on the pizza by checking in on it periodically. Your air fryer could require a slightly longer or shorter time to cook.
- When preparing the pizza dough, ensure it will fit in the air fryer basket. Don’t worry if it’s not a perfect circle. It will still taste good!
- You can leave off the extra virgin olive oil if you want. Even though my air fryer is non-stick, I still put it on there for additional flavor so it won’t stick. Sometimes, food still sticks to my non-stick basket!
- Whatever you do, DO NOT use an aerosol cooking spray (like PAM) in your air fryer. It will ruin the coating.
- Use cheese that you shred yourself! The pre-shredded cheeses have extra ingredients, and I find they don’t melt the same.
Can You Make Ahead?
You can get all the toppings you want ready ahead of time, but I don’t recommend assembling the pizza until you are prepared to cook. Make it right before you eat it for the best results.
How Long to Cook Pizza in the Air Fryer?
I found 7 minutes to be the sweet spot for my Ninja Foodi Air Fryer. Check on your pizza periodically to see if it needs more or less cooking time, as air fryer brands’ cooking times can differ.
Storage Instructions
If there are any leftovers, store them in the fridge for up to 2 to 3 days. You can reheat in the microwave or the pizza in the air fryer!
How to Reheat in the Air Fryer
It’s easy! Set your air fryer to 325°F for 4 minutes. Pop the cold pizza in the air fryer; it will heat it much better and be way tastier than the microwave ever could.

I love your recipes. Tx
I tried this recipe and followed your directions. After seven minutes of air frying the top was cooked and the bottom was raw. I changed it to bake for a few minutes to try to cook the bottom. Don’t know what went wrong.
Hi Deb,
I’m sorry to hear you had issues! What kind of air fryer do you have? I use a Ninja Foodi. I know that air fryer times can vary based on the air fryer. It sounds like yours might require a longer cooking time. What kind of pizza crust did you use? I used the Pillsbury pizza crust.
I have a five quart Gourmia. I used Pillsbury dough too. I tried again. This time I baked the crust with no toppings til it was slightly browned. Then I added the toppings and I think I air fried. Came out much better. Still needs a little tweaking but it was pretty good. Thanks.
I have the same raw dough issue. My pepperoni was crispy. I think I’ll try ti cut the 1/2 of the pizza dough in half again and see if that helps! Precooking the dough will be the next idea after that.
