I made this simple air fryer dessert late one night when my spouse’s sweet tooth started calling. I’ve never seen anyone love chocolate as much as this guy. He’s got a serious sweet tooth. Let’s just say he was very happy with me and loved these chocolate croissants.
I didn’t mind whipping them up because they were so quick to make. A perfect little sweet snack.
Ingredients
Round up these ingredients to make these treats.
- Pillsbury crescent rolls – I used one can, but you could easily double or triple the recipe if you need to serve more people.
- Nutella – We always have a jar of Nutella in the pantry. You could use another chocolate spread if you don’t have that particular brand.
- Butter – I used salted butter.
- Sugar – Just regular white granulated sugar
- Chocolate chips – Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate. Use whatever you have in your pantry.
- Powdered sugar – Also known as icing sugar (for us Canadians) or confectioner’s sugar.
How to Make
1. Preheat air fryer to 325F and set for 6 minutes cook time.
2. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
3. Add 1 teaspoon of Nutella at the end of each crescent roll (the long edge and not the point).
4. Roll up dough and fold in sides to seal.
5. Mix together melted butter and sugar. Brush on both sides of crescent roll dough.
6. Once air fryer is preheated, place in air fryer. Do not overcrowd. If you have a small air fryer, you might need to make them in batches.
7. Melt chocolate chips in microwave at 15 second intervals, stirring in between intervals. Once melted, add 1 teaspoon of Nutella and mix together.
8. Once croissants are finished cooking, remove from air fryer. Sprinkle on powdered sugar and drizzle chocolate on top. Serve warm.

Variations
Not a fan of Nutella? Here’s a couple other options you can try.

- Peanut butter and jam

Pretty much anything sweet goes!
How to Store
These Air Fryer Chocolate Croissants are best served fresh from the air fryer after they’ve had a chance to cool down a little. If you’re not eating right away, cover them up so they stay fresh.
I stored mine on the counter top covered in plastic wrap. I wouldn’t keep them anymore than 2 days.
Can You Freeze Chocolate Crescent Rolls
Yes, you can! Prepare and air fry them following the recipe. Once they’ve cooled, place them in a freezer safe container for up to three months.
