What to Serve with Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls

Serve these egg rolls just like you would serve buffalo chicken wings. The flavors are the same, so they taste delicious with the same kinds of sides. Here are some of my favorite ones.

    Variations and Substitutions

    • Add chopped green onions. This is a great way to add more flavor.
    • Sprinkle blue cheese crumbles on top of the shredded chicken.
    • Brush the outside of the egg roll wrappers with egg wash. This will help them crisp up better.
    • Place parchment paper in the air fryer basket. This makes clean-up faster and easier.

    Storage Instructions

Store leftover buffalo chicken egg rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to three days.

Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls Tips and Tricks

    • Air fry the egg rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with either olive oil or melted butter. This will help it seal.
    • For best results, flip the egg rolls over halfway through cooking time.
    • Use your favorite brand of buffalo wing sauce.
    • Bring the cream cheese to room temperature.

What Kind of Chicken is Best to Use?

You can use shredded chicken made from scratch with an instant pot, slow cooker, or store-bought rotisserie chicken. Either boneless chicken breast or chicken thighs will taste delicious in them.

    How to Make Them Crispy

The best way to make the egg rolls crispy is to spray them with olive oil spray or use an egg wash. But you must add some kind of fat to the egg roll wrappers in order for them to become crispy perfection.

    How to Reheat

Reheat the egg rolls in the air fryer again. Spray them with a bit more olive oil spray and then heat them back at 400F for about 5 minutes.

    Can I Make Ahead?

Yes, you can make them ahead of time. Here’s how to do that. Assemble the egg rolls, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and freeze them for up to 2-3 months. When you’re ready to cook them, place them in the air fryer or oven and cook until crispy.

How to Make in the Oven

You can bake them in the oven, too. Simply bake them in the oven at 400°F for about 15-20 minutes or until they are crispy.

    Dipping Sauce

Use your favorite dipping sauce with the egg rolls.

Ranch, blue cheese, or even plain Greek yogurt make great dipping sauces for these egg rolls. You can also serve them with celery and carrot sticks for a healthy snack.
