    Can I Freeze?

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

    • Searing the Meat: For an extra depth of flavor, consider searing the steak in a hot skillet before placing it in the slow cooker. Searing your meat helps lock in juices, resulting in a more tender and flavorful meat.
    • Customize Seasoning: Adjust the fajita seasoning according to your taste preferences. You can make your own with cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of cayenne for some heat.
    • Fresh Ingredients: For the best results, use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Crisp and colorful bell peppers, ripe onions, and a good cut of steak will contribute to the dish’s overall freshness and flavor.
    • Toppings at Serving: Consider setting up a toppings bar when serving. This allows everyone to customize their fajitas with their favorite toppings. The best part is that everyone will get the flavor profile they prefer by adding unique toppings to their meal.
    • Slow Cooker Liners: To make cleanup easier, use slow cooker liners. These disposable liners can be placed inside the slow cooker before adding ingredients. It’s the perfect way to make this recipe easier to clean after cooking.
    • Warm Tortillas: Heat the tortillas before serving. You can warm them in a dry skillet, microwave, or oven for a short time. Warm tortillas are more pliable and easier to work with, making the fajitas easier to eat.
    • Meal Prep Friendly: This recipe is excellent for meal prep. Prepare the ingredients and store them in the refrigerator until you cook. It’s a convenient option for busy days.
    • Double the Batch: Consider doubling the batch if you have a larger slow cooker or anticipate leftovers. This way, you’ll have extra for future meals or to freeze for meal prep.
