Keto Cheese Balls make a delicious low carb bite sized appetizer! Flavorful cream cheese balls are rolled in a mixture of bacon, chives and pecans. Trust me, you won’t miss the carbs. These delicious balls of goodness are filling.
Keto Cheese Balls
I’ve been sprinkling in a mix of keto recipes over the last little bit. I’ve been eating more low carb recipes and am down 28 pounds since June. And you know what? I don’t really even miss the carbs at all. I find this type of diet suits me because I never feel deprived of my favorite foods and flavors.
Take these Keto Cheese Balls, for instance. They are perfect to serve at parties and gatherings. Even people who don’t eat low carb will love them. With the holiday season coming up, I wanted a go-to appetizer recipe to serve that I could enjoy guilt-free.

Keto Cheese Balls Ingredients
For these Keto Cheese Balls, you will need the following ingredients.
- Cream cheese (use two packages)
- Cheddar cheese
- Garlic powder
- Salt & pepper
The balls themselves are made out of the cream cheese that’s been flavored with cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper. The outer crust is a mixture of bacon, chives and pecans.
How to Make Keto Cheese Balls
They are super easy to whip up! To start, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
Using a cookie scoop or simply roll with clean hands, make 18 small balls with the mixture. Place on a parchment lined plate and refrigerate for 1 hour.
In a small bowl, mix together the bacon, chives and pecans.
After the hour, roll the cheese balls in the bacon mixture to coat the outside.
You can serve them cold or at room temperature. Bet you can’t eat just one!

How to Store Keto Cheese Balls
Cover in plastic wrap and store the Keto Cheese Balls in the fridge for up to 2 days for optimal freshness. When you’re ready to serve them, you can either let them sit out for a bit to get to room temperature or serve them cold from the fridge. They are good both ways.
I do not recommend freezing them because the cream cheese texture will change. Cream cheese doesn’t freeze well and it’s the main ingredient in this recipe.
