Ingredients
The full printable recipe card with measurements and instructions is found at the bottom of the post.
- Breakfast sausages – Your choice of flavor. Make sure to remove the casings so it resembles ground sausage.
- Large eggs
- Half and half – Whole milk or 2% milk can be used if you don’t have half and half.
- Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- Cheddar cheese – I recommend not using the pre-shredded cheese as it doesn’t melt the same as cheese that you shred yourself.
- Frozen tater tots – No need to thaw them first.

This was delicious, although we had it for dinner instead of breakfast. I pretty much followed the recipe as written, but it did take 1.5 pounds of tater tots to cover the eggs in the baking dish as shown in the pictures, not 1 pound. I also wasn’t sure how much bacon it would take for 1/3 cup, so I just used four slices, and that was the perfect amount. Definitely one I’ll be making again!
