Impossible Cheeseburger Pie

“This is the BEST savory pie ever”, says my boyfriend, Matty. He loved this recipe so much that he ate almost the whole pie himself. I was able to snag a piece and let me tell you, he’s right. It’s delicious!

I’m a big fan of Impossible Pies that gained fame in the 1970s. The original recipe was shared on the back of a box of Bisquick mix. I love making them because they are just so dang easy and I always have great results.

    1. Wondering says:

Can I use generic pancake mix?

      1. It should be fine because they have similar ingredients. It might be a little sweeter if there is sugar in the pancake mix.

      2. Teresa Whalen says:

This doesn’t sound like a Weight Watchers Neal. Do you know how many points it is?

    2. Alicia Ponder says:

Do you have the recipe of the impossible tuna pie? I lost mine and we loved it.

      1. I’m actually planning to do more impossible pies since they are quite popular. I have tuna impossible pie on my list of recipes to do. It’s coming soon!

    6. My family loved this recipe, thanks for sharing! Following.

    7. Did you use canned onion soup or just onion soup dry (like the dressing)?

    8. This pie was very easy and quite tasty. Thanks for sharing.

    9. Would this work in an 8×8 inch glass, square casserole dish? I do not own a pie plate/pan.

      1. I think that would work. It would just be a different shape.

      2. Cheryl Denise Maben says:

I would never use a glass dish in a 400 degree oven. Most glass bake ware, as well as corning ware and pyrex, do not recommend cooking with them in such high temp ovens. Glass cooks hotter and faster so you need to adjust the temp and the time frame.

        1. Susan Campbell says:

I cook with Pyrex glass dishes and I haven’t had a problem.

        2. Pat Moondance says:

I worked for Corning Glass for many years and help make Corning Ware and Pyrex. They are fine to bake in an oven at 500 degrees or less. Always make sure your glass cook ware doesn’t have any scratches on it.
