I remember seeing this Betty Crocker recipe for Goldfish Drops a few years ago. My kids would eat Goldfish crackers like they were going out of style when they were little.

With yummy ingredients such as butterscotch and pretzels, Goldfish Drops are the perfect combination of salty and sweet and are a great nut-free option for school snacks and parties.

This crunchy treat can be made in just three simple steps for you and your family to enjoy!

Ingredients for Goldfish Drops

  • Butterscotch chips
  • Shortening
  • Pretzels
  • Goldfish crackers (plain original flavor)

How to Make Goldfish Drops

  • Step One: In a saucepan, melt the butterscotch and shortening over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat.
  • Step Two: Stir in pretzels and Goldfish crackers.
  • Step Three: Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper. Leave to set at least an hour. Serve once butterscotch is firm.

    A unique no-bake treat! Goldfish crackers are a staple in most homes with kids and here they are paired with melted butterscotch chips for an amazing sweet and salty treat.

    Ingredients
     
     

    • 1 package butterscotch chips (about 1½ cups) 11oz/300g package, about 1½ cups
    • 1 tbsp shortening
    • 1 cup pretzels
    • 2 cups original Goldfish crackers

    Instructions

    • In a saucepan, melt the butterscotch and shortening over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat.
    • Stir in pretzels and Goldfish crackers.

      I love sweet and salty from the new Chips Ahoy cookies to caramel and cheddar popcorn and potato chips with chocolate frosting. I would have never thought of this though. Love the idea, ease, and versatility. My grocery store has store brand puffins that are puffin shaped crackers. My grand kids live in Florida and think they are really cute. They would love puffin drops.

      THese look good and I imagine that they are not super sweet because of the goldfish and the pretzels in the, I think that my granddaughters and I would like to try these, I have printed out the recipe, Thank you for sharing this recipe.
