Serve your French dip egg rolls with your favorite appetizers to create a fun spread or a yummy side dish for a complete meal.

    Variations and Substitutions

    • Cheese Options: Experiment with different cheese varieties. Instead of provolone, you can try Swiss, mozzarella, or a blend of your favorite cheeses.
    • Spice it Up: If you like spice, consider kicking the heat up a notch. Add sliced jalapenos, a dash of hot sauce, or some red pepper flakes to the filling.
    • Protein Variations: If you’re not a fan of roast beef, consider using other proteins like shredded chicken, turkey, or even a vegetarian option like sautéed mushrooms. These options can create a fun take on these French dip egg rolls.

    Storage Instructions

Leftovers of this easy recipe? Unlikely. They are usually gobbled up pretty quickly. If you have to store your French dip egg rolls, they can be kept in the fridge. Place them in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

    Can I Freeze?

Absolutely!  After cooking, let them cool before transferring to a freezer-safe, airtight container or Ziploc bag. They can be stored in the freezer for a maximum of 3 months. When ready to reheat, place the frozen egg rolls in an air fryer or oven until heated.

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

    • Keep Wrappers Moist: You don’t want your egg roll wrappers to become dry while you are assembling them. Cover them with a damp cloth to keep them moist.
    • Seal Well: Ensure a secure seal when rolling the egg rolls to prevent them from unraveling during frying. Use a water-dipped finger to moisten the edges to ensure they properly seal.
    • Even Frying: Keep your oil’s temperature consistent. You can use a thermometer to monitor the oil’s heat. This will ensure even frying.
    • Batch Frying: Fry the egg rolls in batches, avoiding overcrowding in the pan. This ensures each egg roll gets crispy and cooks evenly.
