Strawberry S’mores

These Strawberry S’mores are a fruity twist on a campfire classic made in bulk in the oven! They’re made with the traditional graham cracker base layered with gooey marshmallows, melty chocolate, and fresh slices of strawberry.

Don’t let the fact that you aren’t camping stop you from enjoying a sweet s’more or two. This recipe for strawberry s’mores is super simple to whip up at home!

These s’mores are just like classic s’mores—buttery graham crackers, melted chocolate, and toasted marshmallows—except we added a fresh burst of sweetness from sliced strawberries.

This flavor combination is delicious and the recipe could not be easier! Just toast them in the oven, add the strawberries, and devour them.

    • Graham Crackers: I like to keep it classic with regular graham crackers, but feel free to use other flavors if that’s what you prefer.
    • Strawberries: Fresh sliced strawberries add the perfect burst of fresh sweetness.
    • Marshmallows: Use regular sized marshmallows for the perfect portion.
    • Chocolate Bars: You’ll need 2-3 chocolate bars. Be sure to break them up into squares for the perfect amount of chocolate.

What to Serve with Strawberry S’mores

These strawberry s’mores are an excellent stand-alone dessert.

If you are craving a little more, they can be enjoyed with a generous helping of homemade vanilla ice cream or homemade strawberry ice cream

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

    • Preheat the oven. It should be fully heated before you add the graham crackers and marshmallows in for perfect cooking.
    • Watch closely. Take the marshmallows out as soon as they start to turn golden-brown. We don’t want to burn them.
    • Serve immediately. S’mores are best enjoyed right away while the marshmallows are sticky and gooey and the chocolate is melty.

    Variations and Substitutions

    • Try another chocolate. You can use any chocolate bar that sounds good to you! Try white chocolate, dark chocolate, or milk chocolate OR use another candy bar entirely.
    • Use another cracker. Graham crackers are the classic option, but you could go with a sweet and salty flavor profile and try making your s’mores with a base of saltine crackers or Ritz crackers.
    • Swap the strawberries. I love the chocolate and strawberry combo, but feel free to try your s’mores with another fruit such as raspberries or blackberries.

    Storage Instructions

Fully assembled and baked s’mores are best served immediately. I don’t recommend storing them for later.

How Do You Toast Marshmallows Indoors?

In the oven! No campfire necessary. Simply preheat the oven to 375ºF, top your graham crackers with marshmallows, and let the oven work its magic.

You’ll have perfectly gooey toasted marshmallows every time!

What Can I Use Instead of Hershey’s for S’mores?

You can really use any type of chocolate your heart desires for s’mores.

A classic Hershey’s bar is a great option, but you can also use another brand of chocolate or swap the plain chocolate out for mint thins, peanut butter cups, Snickers, Kit Kats, you name it.

What is a Substitute for Graham Crackers in S’mores?

Graham crackers are a classic and add their own layer of sweetness to your homemade s’mores. If you’re looking for something a little saltier, you could try swapping them out for saltine or Ritz crackers!

You could also just use another flavor of graham cracker. Honey, cinnamon, or chocolate are all great options.
