My absolute favorite way to enjoy black beans is with white rice. My mom introduced me to this combination when I was a teenager. What will you serve with your Slow Cooker Black Beans?
- 16 ounce Bag of Dried Black Beans, rinsed
- 7.5 cups water
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Put all ingredients into a slow cooker and stir.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours. You want to ensure you don’t overcook the beans. You don’t want them falling apart.
- Once cooked, turn the slow cooker off.
- The black beans are now ready to serve. You can serve the black beans in a bowl or top them off with mozzarella cheese.
