Oven Baked Chicken Wings
We visited my sister and her family in Ottawa a few weeks ago and she was raving about this amazing wing recipe that her boyfriend’s mom makes. She gave me a copy of it so I could try it and see what all the fuss was about.
I made it the next weekend and was blown away with how delicious it was. So easy and loaded with finger lickin’ good flavor. I told her to tell Jamie’s mom that her recipe is a keeper. I knew after I tried it that I had to share it with my lovely readers!

I am so looking forward to the holidays this year. I can’t wait to visit with family and friends and host my own holiday parties. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to all the yummy food to try.
I’m always looking for easy and tasty appetizers to serve. Oven Baked Chicken Wings will definitely be on the menu this year.
The Chicken Farmers of Canada has lots of chicken appetizers to try this holiday season.
I’m personally loving this Chicken and Brie Crostini, Chicken Satay with Spicy Peanut Sauce and Hot Spinach and Chicken Dip.
How to Make Oven Baked Chicken Wings
Start by preheating the oven to 350F. Place a sheet of aluminum foil on a baking sheet and spray it with cooking spray so the wings won’t stick.
Spread the chicken wings in a single layer on the baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper.
In a bowl, stir together vegetable oil, soy sauce, bbq sauce, honey and garlic. Pour the sauce over the chicken wings to coat them thoroughly.
Bake for 50 minutes or until they are fully cooked and the sauce has caramelized.
I served mine sprinkled with sliced green onions for a pop of colour.

When I was shopping for the chicken wings, I scanned the poultry section for the Raised by a Canadian Chicken Farmer logo on the packaging. Our local Walmart has the logo on the chicken packages.
Why does Raised by a Canadian Chicken Farmer logo matter? It matters to me so I know 100% that I’m getting Canadian chicken and chicken of the highest quality.
Canadian chicken farmers follow a strict mandatory On-Farm Food Safety Program and Animal Care Program. You can count on only the best from our hard working Canadian chicken farmers.
When you are shopping for your chicken recipes this holiday season, I encourage you to look for the logo. If you don’t see it, feel free to ask the store about it and tell them that it’s important to you to know that the chicken you are buying for your family is Canadian.
