Taco Chicken Burgers
It may still be the dead of winter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a good burger. I know some of you still barbecue in the winter months, but I’m not one of them. Instead I improvise by making oven burgers and they are just as good, in my opinion! I created these mouthwatering Taco Chicken Burgers that are super easy to make and taste delicious. These yummy chicken burgers will get my family through the rest of the cold winter until the snow melts and our barbecue is back in business!
I know, they are HUGE! This recipe makes six jumbo burgers that will satisfy even the hungriest appetite. For toppings, I added all my favourite taco ingredients like taco sauce, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and pickled jalapenos. You might want to grab a fork for this one, friends!
The star of the show are those spicy, juicy and flavourful chicken burgers. You’ll need ground chicken, taco seasoning and breadcrumbs. Mold them into patties and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet. I like using parchment paper because it makes clean up a little easier.
Taco Chicken Burgers
These oven baked burgers will satisfy even the hungriest of appetites!

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 6 hamburger buns
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper.
Toppings
- Taco sauce
- Sour cream
- Guacamole
- Iceberg lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 475F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add ground chicken, bread crumbs and taco seasoning to a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix to combine.
- With damp hands, form meat into six equal sized patties. Place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes and flip patties over. Bake an additional 10 minutes. Add cheddar cheese slices on top of each patty and bake until melted (about 1 to 2 minutes).
- Place burgers on hamburger buns and add on toppings.
The ground chicken I use is, of course, Canadian Chicken. I don’t use anything else in my home. It’s important to me that my chicken is raised in Canada because I know the highest quality standards in food safety and animal care that Canadian farmers adhere to. Trust is important and I love knowing that the chicken I serve my family not only supports our hardworking Canadian Chicken farmers, but also is safe and is the best tasting chicken in the world. Look for Raised by a Canadian Farmer logo when you are shopping for chicken!
