You’ll need these ingredients from the grocery store (but you might already have most of what you need in your pantry or refrigerator).

    • Steak:  Top sirloin steak is best, but any steak will work.
    • Red Bell Pepper: Any color of bell pepper will taste great, but red bell peppers give it a fantastic pop of color.
    • Beef Broth: Use either beef broth or beef stock.
    • Low-Sodium Soy Sauce: Since adding other spices, use low-sodium soy sauce.
    • Brown Sugar: This sweetens the broccoli sauce with rich caramel notes.
    • Sesame Oil: Adds nutty notes,
    • Red Pepper Flakes: Gives the sauce a bit of spice.
    • Garlic: Fresh garlic is best.
    • Green Onions: Save some extras to sprinkle on top.
    • Cornstarch: This naturally thickens the sauce.
    • Broccoli: Either fresh or frozen broccoli works great in this recipe.
    • Ramen Noodles: You’ll use the noodles, not the spice packet.
    • Sesame Seeds: These are sprinkled on top at the end, adding a wonderful taste to the dish.

What to Serve with Slow Cooker Broccoli Beef Ramen

This delicious beef and broccoli recipe is an entire meal in one pot. Here are some things with similar Asian flavors that will taste good with it.

    Variations and Substitutions

    • Make It Spicier. Sprinkle red pepper flakes into the slow cooker.
    • Use Different Steak. You can use any steak that you like, as long as it is cut into small strips
    • Use Fresh or Frozen Broccoli. I prefer fresh broccoli but frozen can work too!
    • Add other types of sauce. Try it with a little bit of oyster sauce or Hoisin sauce.
    • Make skillet beef and broccoli. If you’re short on time, add all the ingredients (except the noodles) to a skillet. When it is completely cooked, combine the cooked noodles with the rest of the ingredients.

    Storage Instructions

Place leftover beef and broccoli in an airtight container and refrigerate for 3-4 days. I don’t recommend freezing this meal because it will change the texture of the noodles too much.

Slow Cooker Broccoli Beef Ramen Tips and Tricks

    • The longer you cook the beef, the more tender it will make them.
    • Do not add the seasoning packet.
    • If the sauce isn’t thick enough, use more cornstarch and water to make more cornstarch slurry.

Can I Make It In A Wok?

Yes, you can make this recipe in a wok. Add all of the ingredients except the noodles to the wok. Fry it together until the beef is completely cooked. In a separate saucepan, boil the noodles until they are barely cooked (they will finish cooking in the wok). Then, transfer the noodles to the wok and combine everything.

Which Ramen Noodles Should I Use?

Use any packet of dry ramen noodles that you want! You can also use rice noodles or Chinese lo mein noodles. Honestly, any Asian pasta will taste delicious with the beef and broccoli.

    Best Beef For Stir-Fry

Which cut of beef will be best in this ramen noodle dish? Use any steak you like or have in your refrigerator or freezer. Both flank steak and chuck roast are easy choices for the slow cooker recipe. Your favorite beef steak is a good idea.

Even though you could also use ground chicken or ground pork, the texture of the ground meat with the noodles and the broccoli might be odd to some people. It’s better to use thinly sliced meat than ground options.

    FAQ

What other vegetables will taste good in this stir fry?

Try this stir-fry with snow peas, matchstick carrots, zucchini, or red peppers.

    Why is it too salty?

Did you use low-sodium soy sauce? That is usually the culprit. Since you’re adding salty beef broth to the sauce, it’s best to use low-sodium soy sauce in this recipe.

How many servings does this make?

This recipe makes about six servings.
