    1. Just made this. Super yummy and really easy to make. Yes, I found myself eating it right from the jar, also.

    2. Extremely easy to make!. Made a double batch and added 3 tablespoons of peanutbutter for a more fudgey taste. Love it!

    3. Made this for a group in May and now I get requests for it all the time! Thank goodness it’s so easy to make! We bought Mason jars to keep it stocked for easy transport and reheating. My favorite way to eat this sauce is over fresh strawberries but it makes an awesome brownie sundae. Thank you!

    4. Can this be canned for use later? i was thinking about making it for Christmas gifts and if I can it, it can be saved until they are ready to use it.

      1. Is it possible to can this for gifts?

    5. As a cook/baker for over 50 years, I’ve tried many, many recipes…..
      This is REALLY GOOD!

      THANK YOU for sharing!!

Quick question….. have you ever made it with confectionery sugar in place of granular sugar?

      Thanks, again!

      1. Awesome! No I haven’t tried it that way! Let me know if you do and how it turns out.

      2. I have and it works great. I added 3 cups to the recipe, it worked very well. I hope this helps answer your question. Good luck

        1. Elizabeth says:

you used 3 cups of powered sugar vs 1/2 cup of sugar

    6. Is the tablespoon of butter supposed to be melted first?

      1. No, the butter will melt on its own in the hot sauce.

      2. Michelle O'Dea says:

This the sauce is the best thing ever! I had with ice cream and crumbled meringue

    7. Can I Store it in the freezer ? I want to make a big batch and have it ready to use

      1. Hi Loli, Yes you can freeze it. If you find it too thick after it thaws out, just add a bit of milk or cream to thin it out.

    8. Am I the only one that didn’t care for this recipe? I was very disappointed. Even after boiling the sugar didn’t dissolve so it was grainy. As soon as it hit ice-cream it solidified. Not sure what i did wrong?

      1. I have the same issue. It is now in the frig and it has hardened to a brick.

      2. Mine turned out grainy too. I used condensed milk and not evaporated milk by mistake. I am going to use the right ingredients next time

    9. Can I can this for gift giving later? Do a heat bath to seal the jar?

      1. Yes, if you put it in an air tight container and store in the fridge it should keep for about a month.

    10. Heyy !! I wanted to try out this recipe but we don’t get evaporated milk where i live so would it be ok to use normal milk instead ?? I’ve never made hot fudge before so I don’t know at all , thanks in advance !! Can’t wait to try it out
