    Substitutions and Variations

    • You can use another variety of Hershey’s Kisses if you prefer just chocolate. Chocolate Mint would also be tasty.
    • Use another kind of M&M’s if you can’t find the holiday version. Milk chocolate M&M’s and peanut M&M’s are yummy.
    • Try another color or flavor of candy melts.

    Recipe Tip

After you’ve popped the popcorn, try to remove as many of the unpopped kernels as you can from the bowl. You don’t want to find a hard kernel hidden in there when you are eating the popcorn. It could hurt your teeth!

    How to Store Christmas Popcorn

Store your leftover Christmas popcorn in a large resealable bag at room temperature for up to three days.

What kind of popcorn should I use?

I like to use a regular sized bag of microwavable popcorn because I’m all about easy. I usually always have a box of it in my pantry anyways.

You can also prepare the popcorn via another method like a popcorn maker or on the stovetop.

How much does this Holiday Popcorn recipe make?

This recipe makes about 8 cups of Christmas popcorn. It’s enough to feed about 6 people depending on how much each person has.
