Ingredients

The ingredients for this is super simple and you probably already have most of these in your kitchen! For this recipe, you will need:

  • Salted butter: When combined with the sweetness of the popcorn and maple syrup is so delicious.
  • Microwavable popcorn: Regular popcorn works perfectly for this recipe.
  • Slivered almonds: Adds an extra crunch to the popcorn.
  • Pure maple syrup: Will level out all of the saltiness to curb every craving from salty to sweet.
  • Salt: will balance out the sweetness.

How to Make Maple Almond Popcorn

  • Step One: Cover a large bowl with butter. My favorite one is linked below.
  • Step Two: Line a non-stick cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Step Three: Pour the cooked popcorn and slivered almonds into a buttered bowl.
  • Step Four: In a medium pan, melt the butter. Add in the maple syrup and a dash of salt. Over medium heat, bring to boil, lower the heat and keep at a soft boil until a candy thermometer reads 300F, about 15 minutes. Stir constantly.
  • Step Five: Pour the maple syrup mixture over the popcorn and add in the silvered almonds and mix well.
  • Step Six: Spread the popcorn mixture on the parchment paper and let it cool completely. Break apart and store in a covered container for 4 to 5 days.
