Cheesy Garlic Biscuits
These fluffy biscuits are the easiest! Cheesy Garlic Biscuits are made with garlic and cheddar and just like Red Lobster with only 6 pantry staples. Yum!
You know those restaurants that bring you a basket of warm, fresh biscuits to snack on while you wait for your meal? I always end up eating way too many and then I’m not hungry when my entree finally arrives.
I decided to try my hand and see if I could make something similar at home. I think I found a winner! I have a recipe for Easy Cheesy Garlic Biscuits that rivals the restaurants. Oh my are they good! Plus, they are so easy to make that they practically make themselves. Ok well not really, but they aren’t hard at all.
There’s no rolling or kneading dough and they take only 8 minutes to bake in the oven. Next time I make these I’m going to double the recipe since they do not last long….
The biscuits have garlic powder mixed in the batter and fresh garlic on top. Yum!
Why You’ll Love Cheesy Garlic Biscuits
- Easy to make with no rolling or kneading dough
- Bakes to golden perfection in minutes
- Tastes just as good as the restaurants’
- Warm, fresh and absolutely delicious to eat
- Perfect for garlic lovers
- Great side for just about any meal
Ingredients
- Bisquick biscuit mix: You can’t make biscuits without the mix. Bisquick is my favorite one to use, but any kind will do just fine.
- Cheddar cheese: Yummy cheddar cheese is one of the best things to mix in with biscuits. Theres even some biscuits mixes on the market that call for it on the back of the box.
- Milk: Needed so you can make the biscuit mixture.
- Salted butter: Combined with the fresh garlic to make the garlic easy to spread over the biscuits.
- Fresh garlic and garlic powder: The powder is added to the mixture before cooking and the fresh garlic is for after the biscuits are already cooked. You can never go wrong with using garlic in a recipe.
How to Make Cheesy Garlic Biscuits
- Step One: Preheat the oven to 450F.
- Step Two: Mix together the biscuit mix, milk, cheese and garlic powder in a large bowl until becomes a doughy mixture.
- Step Three: Drop the dough in heaping spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. I made my biscuits a little big, but you can make them smaller (an have more of them) by using less dough for each one.
- Step Four: Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Step Five: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic. Brush the butter mixture on the top of each biscuits and serve them warm.
Equipment Needed

- Whisk: This is my favorite whisk.
- Garlic press: I love using this tool to crush up garlic. My hands don’t get sticky like they would when using a traditional knife.
- Box grater: I love grating up my own cheese instead of buying it pre-shredded, I love this grater because of the cushion handle so my hands don’t get sore.
