I selected chicken breasts for this recipe, but you could always use another cut of chicken. Just use the same marinade and grill away!

Once you have your chicken, whip up the marinade. I bet you already have the ingredients! All you’ll need is maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic and fresh thyme. If you don’t have fresh thyme readily available, it’s ok to leave it out. I just like the pop of color it adds and the fresh flavor profile.

Brush the marinade on your chicken breasts a few times at the start of cooking. After that, you should have enough of the flavour infused into the meat. Serve with a pasta salad, BBQ potato or another summer side. You could even put a chicken breast on a bun and top with a mixture of Dijon mustard and maple syrup for an added punch of flavour. I’m getting hungry just writing this post. How about you?

Could I do this in the oven and if so, what temperature?
      Thank you!

      1. Yes, you can. I would do it at 375F for 25 to 30 minutes, then test for doneness to see if they need more time.

Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

    3. I’d like to try this in my air fryer, do you have any suggestions for making it that way?

      1. Yes, you can make in the air fryer. Each air fryer model is different so you will need to test it out to see what time/temp what works best for your air fryer. I would start with 400F and cook for 8 minutes, then flip the chicken and cook another 8 to 12 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to see if the breasts internal temp are 165F.

    4. Hello- do you ever place your chicken in this marinade and refrigerate overnight? The recipe looks like you just brush it on when grilling. I made this once a few years ago and don’t remember what I did. It was delicious though. Thanks!

      1. Yes, you can marinade overnight or a few hours if you like. I usually am rushed for time so I just brush it on, but either way will work!

    5. This looks delicious! Can’t wait to try it!
      Ps- I’m an “ie”, too!

      1. Thank you! There isn’t too many of us “ie”‘s out there! Are you always having to correct people on the spelling, too?
