Mom’s Macaroni is a comforting stove top casserole made with tender macaroni noodles, ground beef, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese. It’s like a hug from mom, but in a bowl!
My sister was raving about this recipe for Mom’s Macaroni that she got from her mother-in-law. It’s been a family favorite in her home for years and she told me I had to try it out.
I did and it was agreed with her. It was delicious!
My mom had a similar recipe that was made with canned tomatoes, ground beef and macaroni. This recipe is close to that, but with a little more oomph to it. I think I like Mom’s Macaroni from my sister better. Sorry, Mom!
It’s pretty straightforward to make although it does dirty more dishes than I’d like. The extra mess is worth it though, promise!
Everyone in my home who tried this recipe loved it. I called my sister right away and thanked her. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all did.
In 30 minutes, you will have a delicious meal! Serve it with a side salad or enjoy on its own.
