Disclosure: I was compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.

Are movie nights one of your family traditions, too? We’ve been doing them regularly since my kids were young and it’s something I don’t see us stopping anytime soon. I love them because they are an inexpensive and fun way to spend time with the people you love the most. To prepare, I’ll whip up some yummy treats and make sure I’ve selected a feel-good type of movie everyone will enjoy. Sometimes, I’ll take it up a notch and plan some themed activities around the movie like crafts, sing-alongs and recipes.

If you’re like us and enjoy family movie nights, listen up. I’ve got a movie recommendation perfect for the occasion and some fun activities to take a regular family movie night to a whole new level!

After you’ve sang and danced to your heart’s content, keep the good times going with an easy no-bake treat, Candy Haystacks, inspired by the film. And yes, it’s a dessert the kids can help you make. Put them in charge of decorating and see what unique creations they can come up with.

To start, you’ll need your favourite candies – the more colourful, the better! I used a variety of candies including sprinkles and cotton candy. The cotton candy reminded me of trolls’ hair!
