I knew before I ever opened the collection I was in trouble. The cooler weather and holiday spirit just calls for baking. Cookies are great to give…and eat. While chocolate chip are my favorite, and eating the dough is a pleasure, I love trying new recipes.

I’ve held many cookie exchanges over the years, but I have a rule that says nobody is allowed to bring either shortbread or sugar cookies to the exchange. Most people make those anyway, so the idea of the exchange is to get something different onto their cookie platters. Be creative. Bring something deliciously different.
