You won’t need any fancy equipment to make this ice cream recipe. I’m a big fan of no-churn ice cream because of how easy they are to make and I haven’t had any recipe fails yet, knock on wood.

You’ll only need three ingredients to make this Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream. Yes, I said three. I told you it was simple!

I use whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk and then add in whatever flavour I want my ice cream to be. In this case, I toasted marshmallows in the oven and mixed them in.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Directions:

  1. Beat whipping cream on medium speed for about 4 minutes or until it starts to form soft peaks. Reduce speed to low and add in sweetened condensed milk and beat until combined.
  2. Broil marshmallows on a foil lined baking sheet for 1 to 2 minutes until toasted. Careful: they burn QUICKLY so you need to babysit the oven. Quickly add the toasted marshmallows to the cream mixture and stir.
  3. Pour into a freezer safe container. Freeze for at least 8 hours before serving.

The only point where I could see a possible recipe fail happening is if you burn the marshmallows. They BURN super fast. Mine were done in about a minute. Just watch them carefully when you put them in and see how quickly they start to toast in your oven.

I use the small Glad freezer containers for my ice cream. If you buy the bigger ones, double the recipe. I only have the freezer with my fridge so storage space is scarce in my house.

The result is sweet, creamy and irresistible. The toasty marshmallow flavour will leave you craving more – at least for me it did! Good thing it’s easy to make. The hardest part is waiting for it to freeze.

Do you think you’d enjoy this ice cream flavour?
