Philly Cheesesteak Squares elevate your brunch or dinner with baked crescent roll dough, layers of savory roast beef, crisp bell peppers, and melted cheese. This twist on a classic sandwich quickly becomes a family favorite, blending simplicity with hearty flavors everyone loves.
Preheat the oven to 350℉. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Add the butter to a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the peppers and onions. Saute for a few minutes until softened. Set aside.
Unroll one container of the crescent rolls and press into the bottom of the baking pan, coming up the sides of the pan about ½ inch. You can also roll out the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface with a rolling pin.
Mix together the mayonnaise, garlic, mustard, salt and pepper and spread evenly on to the crescent dough.
Add 6 slices of Provolone cheese on top.
Evenly layer the roast beef on top of the cheese.
Add the sauteed peppers and onions on top of the roast beef.
Place the remaining 6 slices of cheese on top.
Unroll the remaining crescent roll dough and roll out with a rolling pin to fit over the top of the fillings. Pinch any open seams closed.
Mix the egg and Parmesan cheese together in a small bowl and brush over top of the crescent dough.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake another 15 to 20 minutes until the dough is cooked through and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
