Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F degrees. Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Add in butter, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla, mix until just combined.
Put the batter in a plastic baggie, or large piping bag (I just used a spoon!) and fill the donut pan – each donut half full.
Bake 7 minutes, and remove from oven. Let sit for 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack.
Dip donut tops into the glaze) and immediately sprinkle the topping of your choice. We used almonds and granola.
Glaze
Melt butter in a sauce pan over low heat, add in brown sugar.
Stirring constantly for 2 minutes, add in milk.
Add milk and bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt and confectioners sugar.
Dip donuts immediately so it doesn’t harden.
