Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Stir together coating ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
In a large bowl, add shortening, sugar and eggs. Beat on low until smooth.
Stir in cinnamon, flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
With clean hands, shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in coating mixture to lightly cover. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
