Cinnamon Hot Chocolate
This cozy and sweet warm winter treat is a creamy blend of cinnamon and chocolate. Serve in a mug topped with whipped cream, star anise and cinnamon sticks. Ready in 10 minutes!

cocoa powder

cinnamon
plus more for garnish

vanilla extract

nutmeg
whipped cream
cinnamon sticks, star anise, etc for garnish (optional)

Instructions
In a medium pot, heat the milk and chocolate chips together over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has melted, about 5 minutes.
Add the cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract and nutmeg and stir for an additional 3 minutes.
Pour into mugs and serve warm with whipped cream, cinnamon sticks, and/or star anise for garnish.

Notes
I've found that semi-sweet chocolate chips work best, but feel free to use your preferred type (ie. milk chocolate, dark chocolate, etc).
