Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F degrees. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add in butter, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla. Mix until just combined.
Put the batter in a plastic baggie, or large piping bag (I just used a spoon!) and fill the donut pan – each donut cavity half full.
Bake for 7 minutes, and remove from oven. Let sit for 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack.
Glaze
Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add in the brown sugar. Stir constantly for 2 minutes.
Add the milk. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla, salt and powdered sugar.
Dip donut tops into the glaze and immediately sprinkle the topping of your choice. We used almonds and granola.
