Step 1

Prepare ingredients such as pineapple, cherry pie filling, cake mix, and cold butter squares.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease 9x13-inch dish. Spread crushed pineapple with juice on the bottom of the pan.

Next, spread the cherry pie filling on top of the crushed pineapple.

Spread cake mix over the cherry pie filling.

Next, place cold butter squares over the cake mix to make sure it is buttery golden as it bakes.

Finally, bake the cake in the preheated oven for one hour or until golden brown. Remove and allow the cake to cool before serving.
