OPI has another exciting Spring product launch with the introduction of Sheer Tints by OPI! It also debuts as the brand’s first-ever pigmented top coat collection. I recently had a chance to try them out and create my own unique colour combinations.
Normally I wear a clear top coat over whatever nail lacquer I’m sporting that particular week. With the introduction of Sheer Tints by OPI, I had a chance to change up my nail care routine and add an extra dimension of colour. The collection comes in four new hues: blue, pink, yellow and purple. They can worn on their own or layered over top of your favourite shade. I like that it also lets you play around with different colours and create new finishes on your current collection of nail lacquers.
The top coat goes on transparent with a splash of colour. When it dries, it leaves a beautiful glossy shine.
Sheer Tints by OPI includes the following shades:
- I’m Never Amberrassed: Liquid amber morphs into a veneer of yellow tint that is anything but bashful.
- Be Magentale with Me: Give your nails the sweet treatment with this sheer pink tint.
- Don’t Violet Me Down: You can count on this crystal sheer amethyst.
- I Can Teal You Like Me: It’s obvious you’re head over teal in love with this sheer blue.
I tried a few different combinations and my favourite was the opalescent pearl of Int’l Crime Caper (Muppets by OPI collection) with Don’t Violet Me Down as a top coat. It created this gorgeous lavender colour perfect for Spring. I love how pretty and feminine it is and the glossy makes my nails glean in the light.
I’ll be playing around more with Sheer Tints by OPI and creating new nail looks. Use these top coats to design your own nail art like ombre. This video will show you how to do easy ombre nail art.
Sheer Tints by OPI are available in professional spas and salons across Canada for an SRP of $10.95/each. Which hue will you try first?
