With summer here, my children are outside playing in the Florida heat and really work up an appetite. They are constantly asking for snacks so I like to have healthier options available throughout the day. Sensible Portions has delicious all natural snacks that are not only good for you but very tasty too.
Instead of potato chips or fries, my family love to eat the Potato Straws which are lightly seasoned with sea salt and there are no trans fats or preservatives. I love the crunchy texture and it is a light yet satisfying snack that goes great with a few olives and a slice of low fat cheese on the side. Potato Straws have 30% less fat than traditional potato chips so I can feel confident that my family is enjoying a tasty, healthier snack food.
I warn you that the Apple Straws are so delicious that you are going to eat these whenever you have a sweets craving. The good news is that these all natural lightly sweet apple straws are seasoned with cinnamon and have a wonderful fresh apple taste. My entire family can’t get enough of these Apple Straws but a portion size of these snacks is generous and filling so you shouldn’t feel the need to overeat.
My favorite snack food from Sensible Portions is the Pita Bites. I enjoy these crackers topped with garlic hummus and it is such a healthy indulgence. There are several flavors to choose from and I tried the Black Olive Feta which was truly a flavor explosion. These baked bites are a staple in my pantry and are just delicious.
You can purchase Sensible Portions snacks online in the Sensible Portions store or use the helpful store locator. I stock up at my local Whole Foods but just noticed that the products are also available at Sam’s Club and other local stores too so I will have to check it out. You can view the entire selection of Sensible Portions snacks on their website (check out the Veggie Straws-my kids LOVE it).
