As we readied to watch our weekly movie together as a family, I made a big batch of delicious popcorn in the Whirley Pop Stovetop Popcorn Popper. After reading the helpful instructions, I simply added the recommended amount of green tea oil to the popcorn popper and heated it up on the stove. Then, I added the popcorn and slowly started turning the handle. Within minutes, the popcorn started to pop and the kids and I got very excited listening to the popper doing its magic. I love that the heirloom lemon yellow popcorn is organic so it is grown without pesticides and the quality is exceptional. The finished popcorn was delightfully small and it packed a punch of mouth-watering popcorn flavor…..it was even more delicious when sprinkled with just a touch of the extra fine sea salt included with this set! My only concern….the big bowl of popcorn disappeared very quickly but no problem, I just made a second batch for everyone to enjoy and all were happy!

My husband pops popcorn about 3 times a week. The lWhirley Pop Stovetop Popcorn popper looks great. Using the green tea oil sounds different.

Did you find this to be any more work than cooking in a regular frying pan on the stove or using a microwave bowl (but not with microwave popcorn)?

I have never used a microwave bowl to make popcorn but have tried the pan method before and it always burned so I gave up. This popcorn popper was very easy to use and the only work involved was patiently and slowly turning the handle until the popping slowed. The entire process took only a few minutes and I was so happy that nothing burned. I hope that helps!
