I’m a big fan of Paula Deen. I like her show, her personality and her food (in moderation of course!). I’ve seen a few kitchen products on the market lately with her name on it, but I have to say, I was truly excited to hear that she teamed up with Sleep Innovations (the people behind the memory foam beds) on an anti-fatigue kitchen mat – an item I consider to be a “must have” in the kitchen.
I have two anti-fatigue mats in my kitchen. One in front of the sink, where I spend a lot of time washing sippy cups and little plates, and one that sort of floats around to where I need it – in front of the stove, or the island. To be honest, I bought them because they were a good price and l liked the style. I didn’t put a lot of thought into the quality of the mats. Not until I tried the Paula Deen anti-fatigue mat did I realize how much of a difference a quality mat can make. The best word to use to describe the Paula Deen mat is luxurious – it is so soft and comforting. I really can feel the difference in this mat compared to my others. I can feel the softness and the springiness in the mat, and I can my body relaxing as I stand on it. It really does relieve a lot of pressure on your joints as you stand on it. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s a nice looking mat as well – I like the pattern and style of it.
The Paula Deen anti-fatigue mat provides a supportive surface to reduce exhaustion and foot, leg and lower back pain – great for marathon sessions in the kitchen, especially with the holidays around the corner! The mat is versatile, stain-resistant, waterproof (making it mold and mildew resistant) and easy to clean. It also has a non-skid bottom to keep it safely in place. Available in sage, chocolate (the color I received), tan and brick, it also comes in a variety of sizes and patterns and will be available at Kohls.com and Kohl’s locations nationwide in mid-October.
