My daughter has severe asthma and respiratory symptoms triggered by even the slightest cold or virus. Even though she requires heavy medications to manage her symptoms during an attack, it is my mission to use natural products whenever possible to bring her relief.
We recently had a chance to try the Crane Frog Cool Mist Humidifier which was an instant attraction as it is shaped like an adorable green frog. Instantly there was no fear factor when the new “pet” machine went into their room. The Crane Frog Cool Mist Humidifier offers variable humidity and is designed to provide relief from “cough, cold and flu symptoms.” The moisture produced also relieves symptoms caused by dry air such as sinus irritation and dry cough. One of the best features is the “whisper quiet ultrasonic operation.” I remember when I was 13 years old and suffered from a bout of pneumonia. My mom made a tent around my bed with a humidifier under it that sounded like a freight train. The Crane Cool Mist Humidifier really is as quiet as stated. The one gallon tank will run up to eleven hours per filling with water and automatically shuts off when it is empty. It covers up to 250 feet while operating.
One evening last week my daughter started with her dry cough and I normally would have given her a series of nebulizer treatment. It usually takes two treatments back to back to provide any relief. Instead, I set up the Crane Cool Mist Humidifier and one treatment and then sat with her to observe the results. I was bit afraid because we had tried a warm mist humidifier a year ago and I did not like the results for her particular asthma symptoms. I had read that the Cool Mist Humidifiers are typically more beneficial for asthma symptoms. My daughter only needed one treatment that night and slept comfortably with the humidifier working quietly until morning. We will definitely use it anytime my children are showing asthma, cold or flu symptoms. It is also easy to clean and Crane has a YouTube Video that shows instructional and cleaning videos to make it as easy as possible to use correctly.
