Title: Unto the Breach
Author: Sidney Gale
Do you have a child that likes a book that engages their mind? Unto the Breach by Sidney Gale just might be the perfect book for them. There is just enough adventure in this book to keep a young person’s interest. It is not a nail biting, can’t put this book down, type of book, but it does have a suspenseful plot. Three boys on an open water adventure with a teacher sounds simple enough, but when the waves and wind pick up and their survival instincts are put to the test, it is hard to know just how this story will end.
Unto the Breach is chock full or sailing terms, most of which went straight over my head, but I still understood enough to know what was going on. If you have a child who loves books and does not like the recipe novel, boy gets girl and they live happily ever after, this is a book for them. If you need good book for boredom busting during summer vacation, pick up a copy of Unto the Breach.
