March Break is approaching quickly and I know many of us are looking forward to some well-deserved time off. This winter has been rough! For me, I’m planning to stay home and will try to relax a bit. Maybe you have a vacation planned or are doing the same as me. If you are going away for a few days or the week, I have a few checklist items to remember to help you have a relaxing time.

March Break Vacation Checklist - Don't forget any of these items at home!

When you’re getting organized for your time away, don’t forget these important items below.

March Break Vacation Checklist

1. A good book. I never leave home without mine. A vacation is the perfect time to catch up on your favourite author’s new book or the latest bestseller. Usually, you’ll have some downtime when you are waiting to catch your plan or are relaxing on the beach (I’m jealous), so don’t forget to bring some reading material to pass the time. Plus, reading is relaxing as it’s easy to lose yourself in a good book.

2. Your favourite outfits. It helps to plan out what you will wear ahead of time so you don’t forget anything. There’s nothing worse than realizing that you have nothing to match your favourite skirt or pair of shorts. Also, think about your shoes and accessories. They are key to completing your look. If you are bringing an uncomfortable pair of heels, consider packing Dr. Scholl’s® For Her to help ease discomfort. They have several insole and cushioning options to fit different kinds of heels and flats, no matter what part of your foot or shoe is bothering you so you can enjoy your time away.

3. All your toiletries. I usually forget at least one toiletry so I recommend making a list of everything you are bringing and then checking it off as you pack your bag. Think about your toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and sunscreen. Try Coppertone sunscreen to keep your whole family covered from Coppertone ClearlySheer SPF 50 for you and Coppertone Kids Sunscreen Lotion SPF 60 for the kids. They filter UVA and UVB rays to help provide sunburn protection. ClearlySheer feels weightless on your skin and can be worn under your makeup. It won’t clog pores or cause breakouts. The Kids Lotion is waterproof which is a must when you are away on vacation. Don’t forget to reapply your sunscreen at least every two hours, or after being in the water.

4. Eye Mask. If you want to sleep in during your time away, it can be hard if the room is bright and sunny. An eye mask can help block out the light and help you sleep a little longer. I love wearing mine on the weekends when I can sleep in!

5. Laundry bag. I like to bring a laundry bag in my suitcase to use for dirty clothes. I don’t like to keep the dirty clothes in my suitcase next to clean clothes and I’d rather not have them in a pile in the room. A dirty laundry bag keeps everything much more neat and tidy.
