4 Healthy Habits for the New Year

The New Year is a great opportunity to reflect on the past and what’s worked (and what hasn’t). It’s also a good time to focus on what’s ahead. Many of us have already given up our resolutions and if you haven’t, well done! I look at resolutions as lifestyle changes – and ones that can be done any time of year!

Start the new year right by implementing some healthy habits. I’ve got four ideas for you to consider today!

1. Healthy homemade lunches. I know, it’s so convenient to just buy your lunch. It’s much healthier (and cheaper!) to bring your own. Prepare your lunch ahead of time so there’s less to do in the morning. This can be as simple as cutting up veggies on the weekend or packing up some leftovers from last night’s dinner. It doesn’t have to be complicated. One idea is to get your family involved in the process so they can learn the importance of making healthy decisions.

2. Keep your hair healthy. Did you know that washing your hair too much can strip out the natural oils and cause split ends? Try washing your hair every second or third day instead.
