You Can Never Be Too Much You
You can never be too much you.
This powerful statement is the message behind the latest global campaign from Danish design house, Georg Jensen. They are well-known for their beautiful sterling silverware and flatware, fine jewelry, watches, accessories and a home collection. Instead of using models to represent this message, they’ve taken things a step further and replaced them with role models. They’ve featured five strong, ambitious and unique women who don’t compromise who they are.
Before I get into more details about the campaign and its important message, I encourage you to watch the video and see for yourself what it’s all about.
Pretty powerful, right? I love how it encourages women to be true to who they are and to never compromise. And really why should you? You are special and have the ability to create your own successful path. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise or try to define you.
I think Georg Jensen picked the perfect global role models to represent the campaign. These are influential and inspirational women are at the top of their industries and have created their own success. Featured are Susanne Bier from Denmark, an award-winning film director, Cecelia Brækus from Norway, a WBA, WBC and WBO world champion welterweight boxer, Sarah Kendall from Australia, an award-winning comedian, Behnaz Shafiei from Iran, a professional motorcross rider and Dominque Crenn from USA, the world’s best chef.
In other campaigns, you often see the focus being on looks and how beautiful the models are. In this campaign, the focus is on personality and showcases accomplishments. I think that’s why the Georg Jensen campaign resonates much more with me. I felt inspired after watching the video and determined to continue on my own personal path to success.
I’d love to hear what you thought of the video. Watch it and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

I have been called TOO much all my life. I get this so much. I have since embraced my inner-TIgger
What an inspirational video. I am always in search of the true me and tend to run from people and opportunities which will take me away from who I truly am!
What a powerful message! I am actually sharing this video with my teen as I type this! This is what i want to teach her to learn more so than any other lessons I’ve tried to instill in her.
I love this! We have to be ourselves, it doesn’t matter what others think of that, because it’s for ourselves not anyone else.
I love this! I wish there was more emphasis on the successes achieved by women! Love this message being sent.
Wow! A message I needed today.
Let me just say. I am proud to be a “contest” girl. I have ethics. I am not lazy. I am unlucky in life but that doesn’t lessen who I am. I never new how poor or ugly or what I was missing in my life until I started reading social media & bloggers. I choose not to believe it. I choose not to believe that I can not enter contests or I will be branded un respectable. I am bettering my economic situation but “chancing” things my family would never experience… ever. I am not pretty enough or haha have the right spelling skills to be a blogger. Or beauty consultant. Or media super star. I know that but “they” don’t know me. So I choose not to listen to “them” I will enter contests. I will speak my mind. I am a good person and no one that does not know me has no right to make me or others feel ashamed.
What a wonderful campaign! Everyone is so special and unique!
I love this video, I agree completely too! We are special and uniquely us. What a powerful video!
