The Easter stuff is out in stores! I ended up buying a little too much chocolate on my last shopping trip. Some of it will be going to my kids, but for the rest of it, I wanted to try something new instead of just eating it myself.

I made these decadent Easter Egg Stuffed Crescent Rolls – super easy and delicious! If you find yourself with too much chocolate (can that even be possible?), here’s a recipe for you to make for your family.

It’s literally wrapping crescent roll dough around a chocolate Easter Egg. I bought a bunch of Cadbury eggs with a few different fillings to keep things interesting. You never know what you are going to bite into!

    Stuffed crescent rolls are all the rage. Really, what can’t you stuff inside? The sky is the limit. I figured why not use the leftover Easter chocolates. I always buy the crescent roll dough when it comes on sale at the grocery store.

    I topped mine with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or as we call it in Canada, icing sugar. I always want to write icing sugar in the recipe, but then worry that people won’t know what I mean.

    These are best served while they are still warm so you can fully savor the melted chocolate and whatever filling is inside the egg. Are you hungry yet? I sure am. You need to make these Easter Egg Stuffed Crescent Rolls STAT!

    This recipe only has 3 steps so it is quick to make. You are only minutes away from a delicious chocolate-filled dessert.

    What to Serve with Easter Egg Stuffed Crescent Rolls

    These can be served with any dinner for a delicious dessert that everyone will love or they can also be served on Easter day with my Brown Sugar Dijon Pork Tenderloin

    Substitutions and Variations 

    Since this recipe is so simple to make, not a lot can be changed however you can substitute the Cadbury Eggs for any type of chocolate. You also don’t need to use the Pillsbury brand of crescent rolls but those are my favorite so you are welcome to use whichever ones you enjoy the most.

    Storage Instructions

    Store any leftover crescent rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. I recommend reheating for a few seconds in the microwave before enjoying again. This will soften them up and melt the chocolate inside.

    Can I Freeze? 

    Yes, they can be frozen. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months and then unthaw overnight in the fridge. When you are ready to eat, you can warm them up in the microwave for a delicious breakfast or serve them after dinner.

    Ingredients
     
     

    • 1 can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
    • 8 Cadbury Easter Eggs
    • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a baking pan with cooking spray.
    • Place crescent roll triangles on a baking sheet. Place one Easter Egg at the widest end and roll up.
    • Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
