Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

Sometimes an idea for a blog post will hit me at the strangest times. Like this particular post’s inspiration came while I was taking a shower. I thought that it would be nice to have some pumpkin spice scented bath products. At first, I was going to look online and see what some of my favourite stores had, but then changed my mind when I realized I could just make some. So that’s what I did. My recipe for Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub was born. And I’m sharing with you!

Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

It is so so easy! You’ll need some canned pumpkin puree (not canned pumpkin pie filling!), brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice (yes, you can make that too), coconut oil and fresh coffee grounds. I didn’t even have to make a special trip to the grocery store since I had everything waiting in my pantry.

It smells sooooo good! Almost good enough to eat. You probably could eat, but I’d hold back if I were you. You’ll want to save it for the outside of your body!

I was debating on whether or not to add in the coffee grounds, but decided to go ahead with. Coffee grounds not only add an extra grit to the scrub, but it also works wonders on your skin.

I use sugar scrubs quite a bit on my legs to keep the ingrown hairs at bay. They really seem to help. I also use them on my dry hands to keep them moisturized and soft.

A jar of this scrub would make a nice gift too. Add a pretty ribbon and label and you’re all set for gift-giving.

Do you like the smell of pumpkin spice?
