Kids’ Summer Travel with Trunki
Memorial Day is coming up fast, and I’m excited for the unofficial start of summer! With the weather warming up and school coming to an end soon, my family and I will be hitting the road quite a few times this summer to visit family and have some fun. My two boys LOVE traveling, and to them, packing is half the fun. This summer they’ll be traveling in style thanks to some cool products from Trunki.
Trunki sent my boys a variety of neat travel products that are not only cute, but quite functional as well.
Trunki Suitcase – I have to admit, I wish I had one of these as a kid! These fun cases are the perfect size to hold a few days worth of clothes and essentials for a trip to grandma’s house or a quick getaway to a favorite vacation spot. I like how sturdy this case is and the clips on each end close tightly and securely, so your kids stuff is safe inside during your travels. The best feature – it’s also a ride-on toy! Both of my boys get such a kick out of being able to ride on this case. Trunki offers several designs (we have the Bronco) to fit any style and personality. These cases sell for $49.99 on the Trunki site. When your Trunki arrives, don’t throw out the box – it doubles as a playhouse for your suitcase!
Paddlepak – my boys love to pack up little toys, stuffed animals, and books when we travel. Each time we get ready to go on a trip, I give my boys a backpack that each can fill with whatever they want to bring – the only rule is it must fit in the pack! With the Trunki Paddlepak, my boys have plenty of room for some of their favorite little goodies to travel with. I love the rolling top and clip – keeps everything safely inside. Bonus – these packs are water-resistant, so they’re perfect for trips to the pool or the beach. Plus, how cute are they??!! My big guy loves his Lobster design, while my little guy loves what he calls his “Nemo pack” Clown Fish. There are a lot of designs to choose from and they range in price from $25 – $30 each. Trunki also sent along two crab coin purses that are great for attaching to the Paddlepaks (these are currently only available in the UK).
Yondi Travel Pillow – both of my boys are car nappers. Especially on our long trips – like our 6 hour trip to New Hampshire to see my in-laws. We’ve tried a lot of travel pillow solutions over the years with both boys, but I have to say, nothing compares to the Yondi. The Yondi is a specially designed travel pillow that connects under the chin with hidden magnets to form a soft and supportive cushion to prevent a child’s head from rolling forward so they can snooze in comfort. The design is slim and compact – which I think makes it more comfortable to wear (at least that’s what my 4-year-old tells me!). My little guy loves it so much that he insists on wearing it every time we get in the car which is how you know a product is perfect for a child – and at $15, this is a steal. We have Felix the Fox, but there are six other designs sure to please.
Trunki believes in making the journey as enjoyable as the destination. Their products have won over 80 awards from the nursery, toy, design and business sectors. Trunki was started in 2006 by Rob Law, who has assembled a team of what he calls “big kids” who are dedicated to imagineering cool travel stuff for kids.
Whatever your travel plans are for this summer, make Trunki a part of your packing plan. You can see all the cool travel stuff they offer on their site.
