Week 6 #CommitToFit Challenge
Wow, the past six weeks flew by! I’ve been participating in the SUBWAY Canada Commit to Fit challenge, led by Carl Savard, the SUBWAY Canada Commit to Fit ambassador. I think overall it went well! I feel motivated to continue on with what I learned and the positive changes I’ve made. This morning, I went into the back of my closet and pulled out a pair of skinny jeans. I haven’t been able to wear them since the end of 2013. To my delight, they fit with room to spare! I cannot describe how good that made me feel. With summer coming up, I wanted to be able to fit into my old clothes again. Those days are here!
Our week 6 challenge was to take 30 minutes for our own personal health goals each day. Carl gave some suggestions like going for a walk, reading a health magazine or yoga. I went for a few walks this week while my daughter roller bladed. I also read an entire book in one sitting. I went over the 30 minute mark there, but it was needed. It felt so good to just sit and read and forget about everything for a little while. I think I’ve set a record this month for the amount of books I’ve read. I’m flying through them and will be done all the ones on my bookshelf by the end of the year if I keep going at this rate!
I’m going to continue one with eating healthy and doing as much exercise as my body allows (chronic pain can throw a wrench into what I can physically do). Overall, I’m feeling lighter on my feet and have more energy.
Check out my previous challenge posts for Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4 and Week 5.
Took myself out for frozen yogurt last weekend!
It’s good to hear that you’re not just losing weight, but feeling better and more energized.
