Daily Cleaning Checklist
I’ve said before that I enjoy the cleaning process and it’s true. What I enjoy more, though, is a clean and organized home. It was much more challenging to keep the house tidy when the kids were little. Between them and my ex-husband, I was fighting an uphill battle picking up after them. Now that they are older and in school, it is much easier to keep the house in order. However, it is still something I work on every day! It’s an ongoing job.
I’ve been meaning to make a household binder for awhile. 2015 is the year I will finally make one and I’ll share it with you! My first entry is a Daily Cleaning Checklist printable. It lists out the tasks to do each day to keep your home running smoothly. These are the items I do in my home, but I have spots where you can fill in some extra tasks that you do that I don’t have listed.
The checklist covers all the rooms in my home including the bedrooms, front entrance, bathroom and kitchen. It isn’t deep cleaning – more like a light tidy. I don’t do the deep cleaning stuff every day!
The free printable is in pdf form. Keep it on your fridge or in a household binder. You can print them off whenever you like or just keep one to use a reference if you don’t want to use up paper and ink!
I usually get most of these chores done in the morning while Bridget is getting ready for school. After I make her breakfast, I clean up the main areas – kitchen and living room. It doesn’t take me long and by the time I have to take her to the bus stop, I’m halfway done.
Watch for more printables as I continue to create my Household Binder.
What are some of your daily cleaning tasks?
I’m not organized at all. I don’t enjoy cleaning. Most of the time I hope that my husband got to the dishwasher or dryer before I do. But, even thought I don’t enjoy it like you do does not mean my house is a mess. Maybe using your printout my help! TY!
I need to do this!!! Some days I swear my house is a pig sty!! 🙁 I have started to set a timer and speed clean in the morning this will help as well. Thanks!! 🙂
Awesome checklist to help me with my cleaning chores. I try to keep up with doing some chores every day so I am not overwhelmed and try to do it all at once. I always make sure that the dishes are done every day. And I vacuum every day because I can not stand a messy floor.
Good tool for getting into the habit of keeping tidy! It is easier for us to keep tidy as we are on the road a lot so when we are home we ensure we keep it all exactly in place so we come home to it looking welcoming and nice!
Lately it has been a challenge to stay organized for me. I will definitely print this out for use! Thanks for sharing
I love this
I hate cleaning but I’m pretty organized lol I honestly don’t like cleaning anything at all! These forms look pretty good though, they would certainly be a reminder to me!
Thanks
I think I am pretty organised. A list would mess me up.
This list will keep me on track. Thanks.
this is a great idea! a household binder, i should do this
Having a cleaning plan is a great way to stay organized and make sure that everything gets done.Thank you for sharing this printable.
Great list and easy to use. Keeping it on your fridge would let you easily see what’s been done and on what day.
This is a great idea, wish I could just hand it weekly to a cleaning fairy. Unfortunately, most of this falls on me to complete so I know the list either by remnders of dust bunnies around the house or 47 yrs of experience.
Wonderful idea!! I have two kids that hate chores!
Hi! I also like to clean and tidy house. It can be difficult because I deal with chronic illnesses. This list will certainly help! Everyday I, at least, try to do any dishes, wipe down the kitchen, and straighten the living room. Thank-you!!
This is something I could definitely use.
Very useful! Dusting and washing dishes is a daily chore here!

like most other people I don’t like cleaning but it has to be done 🙁 I try to do a little every day that way it’s less of a chore. Thankfully there’s only me so it’s not too bad. I like cleaning windows surprisingly enough and am dying to be able to do the outside of my windows but at a mere 6C it’s too cold at the moment.
