Healthy Teeth for Halloween

paid disclosure-1

Do you notice sometimes you sound just like your mother? I see myself saying the exact same things to my kids that my mom used to say to me as a child. For instance, my mom is serious about oral health. Even today, she still is and often asks me if the kids are brushing and flossing regularly. I don’t have an issue with Olivia and it’s been drilled into her enough to take care of her teeth. My issue is with Bridget where I feel like a broken record. If I don’t remind her to brush her teeth, she won’t. These are the exact times when I hear myself speaking and I sound just like my mother!

With Halloween coming up and the amount of candy that will be filling up my daughter’s treat bag, I know I’ll have to be proactive in teaching her the importance of brushing her teeth. Good thing there are some products that make oral health fun for kids. With the new Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Super Mario Bros Toothbrush, kids can brush their teeth with their favourite Super Mario character. The toothbrush is designed for smaller mouths and has a smaller brush head that helps to remove plaque and massage gums. My daughter prefers battery powered toothbrushes because she said “it’s more fun to use one” than a regular toothbrush.

If your kids prefer a manual toothbrush, there is the new Orajel Bubble Guppies Kids Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste Gel and Manual Toothbrush. The toothbrush has a coloured bristle guide to show your child where to place the toothpaste. The bristles are also gentle enough for young teeth and gums.

If your little one eats too much candy and ends up with a toothache, try Orajel Maximum Strength Toothache Pain Relief Gel. It provides instant relief for stubborn toothache pain.
