Groovy Lab in a Box

disclosure produt review

I home educate my three children and we are always searching for quality supplemental resources. Groovy Lab in a Box is an exceptional science resource that it highly educational and yet entertaining too. What makes this award-winning monthly subscription service so unique is the quality of the content which is delivered straight to your door and includes everything your child will need to do hands on experiments. Plus, it is fun and exciting for kids to receive a box addressed to them in the mail each month too!

Groovy Lab in a Box

Groovy Lab in a Box is packed with all the necessary thing needed to conduct experiments rich in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). All three of my children and particularly my nine year old son, thrive the best with hands on learning. Therefore, this box is the perfect way to supplement the learning process each month. With quality STEM resources like Groovy Lab in a Box it makes it possible for a future generation of scientists, engineers, doctors and architects to be inspired to learn, design and build a wide variety of interesting experiments.

I was especially impressed with the detailed instructions book and the innovative experiments. I agree with the age recommendation of 8 and older however my 7 and 6 year old children were able to help their older brother with all of the experiments. The instructions are quite detailed and easy to follow and full of facts and interesting information on the theme. One favorite experiment for my children is building a paper roller coaster. My children were thrilled to start the “What Goes Up….” Study which includes an Engineering Design Challenge. It included an investigation about roller coasters and several experiments. The kids were even able to visit the Groovy Lab in a Box website to view videos pertaining to the subject. My son was fascinated with the Paper Roller Coaster project and literally spent hours (including his free time) brainstorming and working on his own roller coaster design. He was beaming with pride as he saw his design come to fruition!

Groovy Lab in a Box

The second kit, “Here Comes the Sun!” that we received was just as extraordinary as the first box and focused on solar energy. This appealing subject allows encourages children to investigate, brainstorm and create. It includes projects such as a Solar Balloon, Solar Oven and a Conductivity Sensor.

Overall, we are very pleased with Groovy Lab in a Box and would highly recommend this especially for homeschooling families as well as for children who have a love for STEM. You can purchase an individual box to try it out or the best value is a subscription which can be purchased for as low as only $23.95 per month. This is an excellent value in our opinion for the value of what is included with each Groovy Box! You are invited to visit the Groovy Lab in a Box website to learn more about joining Groovy Box and to purchase your own monthly subscription!
