Inception Red Wine Debuts This Spring

Residents of Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and New Brunswick can expect to find a new wine on liquor and wine store shelves this Spring! Meet Inception, a new red wine from Distell Group Ltd. as it makes it debuts in some Canadian provinces.Β
Inception is a red wine from South Africa and I would describe its flavour as sophisticated. It’s made of a blend of Shiraz, Mourvedre and Petit Verdot grapes that have been hand-picked to ensure the best quality taste. It also has underlying flavours of dark chocolate, fruit and with a hint of spice. The bouquet is red berries with nuances of oak and vanilla.
I wouldn’t describe it as a sweet wine though I did note a slight hint of sweetness with each sip. I don’t often drink red wine because I find it a stronger flavour than white. However, I enjoyed drinking a glass of Inception with a meal. It pairs beautifully with roast beef. I’d also try it with some spicy chicken dishes. It has a bold flavour so I would want to drink it with a meal that it would complement nicely.
I adore the artwork on the bottle! It’s designed to represent the layers of flavour in each glass of Inception. You can try and figure out the hidden meaning and decipher the image if you like. I thought it lent well to the air of mystery and intrigue the wine represents.
Inception comes in a 750 mL bottle and has an SRP of up to $15.99. It’s available in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and New Brunswick. Note that pricing and availablility may vary depending where you live. I’m in Ontario now so can pick up more bottles at the LCBO to have on hand for future dinner parties and get-togethers.
That is the coolest decorated bottle! I love the packaging! What a great review π
Very Interesting!
I really like red wine so week be sure to give it a try. Cheers
that look like great wine to serve for party
I love the label design on this bottle, but I couldnt tell you if I would love the wine inside until I tried it. I do like red wines, even if they are not really sweet. Thanks for inducing me to this wine. The price is just right for me too!
Thanks for your review. Always keeping an eye open for new wines, especially red wines.
Love that the label means something! What intrigue and suspense that adds to the alour that surrounds a deep red wine. I don’t know a lot about wines, but my doctor suggested some in moderation to me. Shiraz was recommended to me, and I can’t wait to give this a try. The price works, too.
Interesting. Always on the lookout for new wines since we enjoy a glass of wine with our meal. Thanks for the recommendation.
This looks and sounds wonderful π Thanks for doing this review. I will look in the US to see if I can find some. Maybe some roast beef too π
Good wine with a BBQ I think will have to keep an eye out for it
I’m always looking for a good Canadian red wine, thanks for the recommendation.
I too love the decoration on the bottle I wonder if this wine is available in the US. It sounds like a wine I would enjoy.
Why not in Nova Scotia?
I am not a big drinker, but in the summer, I like to pick up a couple of bottles of Ontario red wine. I will get my gal pals to try this one out! Thank You π
