Thermal-Aid Headache Relief System Review
Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
I’ve had headaches on a regular basis for the last fifteen years. A couple of them have been so bad that I had to go to the ER. Thankfully I haven’t had to do that since Bridget was a baby, but there’s been a few days where my head hurt so bad that I could barely get out of bed. Nowadays I normally get a migraine once a month around the time of my monthly cycle. I figure it’s related to the fluctuating hormone levels. However, I get tension headaches almost everyday.
When I saw my doctor last month, we talked about my headaches and he said the way I could reduce them is get rid of the stress I’m under. Easier said than done! He warned me about taking too many over the counter pain relievers because they can actually cause rebound headaches. I’m always leery now about taking them and will try to alleviate the pain naturally first.
My first line of offense is Thermal-Aid Headache Relief System. It’s 100% natural and recommended for migraine, tension and stress headaches. The system consists of two products: Headache Relief Cream and an Eye Pack. They both work together to reduce the intensity of the headache and in many instances, relieve the pain altogether.
The Thermal-Aid Headache Relief System was developed by a Board-certified Neurologist and is clinically proven to relieve tension and migraine headaches. I like that there’s no pills to take and no unwanted side effects.
It’s easy to use. First apply the Headache Relief Cream to your temples and forehead. It’s a topical analgesic pain reliever and is only mildly scented. The eye pack (after being frozen for at least 6 hours) goes on your head to block light and provide a light pressure to the painful areas. The cold is very soothing and it’s much better than putting an ice pack on your head. The eye pack is made of a specialized de-germinated corn product that allows it to hold temperatures evenly for a long period of time.
I tried it out on both a migraine headache and a tension headache. My migraines can be debilitating. I get physically sick and my head pounds so hard I can barely move. It’s even hard for me to rest. The Thermal-Aid Headache Relief System allowed me to close my eyes and relax and fall asleep. It took the edge off the pain and let me get more comfortable.
I was very pleased with how well it worked for my tension headache. After about 30 minutes, I felt much better. I think for me the key is the pressure. I’ve tried using cold packs alone before with mixed results. Cold + pressure + the headache balm was what I needed.
When a headache strikes now, I first reach for the Thermal-Aid Headache Relief System.
