Orthaheel Olivia Leather Flats Review
Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
Several years ago I suffered from a severe case of plantar fasciitis (heel spurs) as a result of wearing improper footwear such as flat sandals and too high heels. In order to heal from this painful condition, my doctor recommended that I wear orthopedic footwear. I was initially mortified at the thought of wearing unstylish footwear but it was better than suffering from this horrible pain. Thankfully, I discovered the Orthaheel shoe line which is recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil. I was delighted to learn that I did not have to sacrifice style in order to have proper fitting shoes!
While I have since recovered from my bout of plantar fasciitis, I still choose to wear the proper shoes so that I don’t have to experience that agony ever again. This holiday season, I will be proudly wearing a pair of Vionic women’s shoes that uses Orthaheel Technology. What makes Orthaheel Technology so exceptional is that it provides “biomechanically contoured support concealed within contemporary designs ranging from sporty casuals to ballet flats and wedges.” There are so many pretty shoes styles, prints and colors to choose from at Orthaheel and my favorites are the Vionic Olivia Leather Flats.
The Olivia are lovely ballet flat shoes which are so fashion forward and extremely comfortable to wear especially for extended periods of time such as dancing the night away at holiday parties. The Olivia features a flexible, lightweight rubber outsole and has a patterned tread to help with traction. It was designed by a leading podiatrist, Phillip Vasyli with the intention of supporting the feet while realigning the lower legs. This helps to stop over-pronation which is one cause of related foot, knee, legs and lower back aches and pains. I find that this additional support really makes a huge difference in my comfort level when wearing the Orthaheel and/or Vionic shoes.
I love that Vionic features shoes that are perfect for dressing up for business and special occasions as well as casual wear. The Olivia has the delicate and feminine look of a ballet flat while it gives outstanding support. I like the pretty details which includes a pretty pattern with contrast lining as well as the stylish little bow trim across the toe. The Olivia shoe is currently available for purchase at the Orthaheel website wear it is currently on sale for $89.99 from the SRP of $119.95! With such beautiful shoe styles available at Orthaheel there is no reason to suffer from foot pain associated with ill-fitting shoes……which pair do you think would be the perfect shoe this season?
