OPI Top This! Review

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

OPI has recently come out with a new holiday gift set for 2013. Top This! features three top coats that would fit perfectly into someone’s stocking this holiday season.

OPI Top This!

My collection of OPI nail lacquers is growing and this was my first opportunity trying any of their top coats. I know I should have been wearing a top coat before, but I promise I will from now on! It’s neat to see how each of them change the look of your nails.

The set includes three top coats including:

  • Top Coat: Provides a high-gloss protective shine and prevents smudges while drying
  • Matte Top Coat: Gives nails a velvety finish
  • Snowflakes in the Air: Silver glitter with a rainbow shimmer and can be worn alone or over your favourite OPI shades

I painted my nails in the deep red shade, All I Want for Christmas (is OPI) and tried all three top coats in one sitting! On my left hand, I used the Snowflakes in the Air. It’s new to the OPI family and is only sold in this set. It adds glitter and a bit of shine to your nails and does look like just a sprinkling of snow. My left hand looks very festive!

On my right hand, I tried the Top Coat and Matte Top Coat. The Top Coat makes your nails shiny while the Matte Top Coat mutes the shine for a smooth and soft finish. Out of the three top coats, my favourite is Top Coat, followed by Snowflakes in the Air and then Matte Top Coat. You can make the same colour look totally different just by using this trio.

Top This! is available starting this month at professional salons and spas across Canada and retails for $32.85.
