OPI’s New Pink of Hearts Duo and Designer Series Shades!
Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample of the product for review purposes. The opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.
In addition to the OPI Rock Goddess Mini Lacquer Set, OPI has a couple other polishes premiering this month! The first one is the Pink of Hearts Duo. This year marks the seventh annual limited edition Pink of Hearts promotion to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and support. OPI will donate $25,000 to Susan G. Komen and $5,000 to Rethink Breast Cancer in Canada.
Many of us have had our lives touched by breast cancer. My mom’s aunt died of breast cancer when I was a child. I’ve also known people who have survived breast cancer and are now living healthy, productive lives. OPI hopes to encourage women to create and customize their own Pink of Hearts manicure and in turn, help them honour people close to them who have battled breast cancer.
The Pink of Hearts Duo includes two shades as well as 10 pink ribbon and crystal decals in order for women to personalize their look.
Pink-ing of You: This classic soft pink truly inspires hope.
More than a Glimmer: Silver, pink and teal in a clear matte based for a brushed chrome finish.
Wear them on their own or layered with or without the decals. I painted my left hand in Pink-ing of You and my right hand in More than a Glimmer. I added a crystal decal to my thumb nail on my left hand.
Out of the two, Pink-ing of You is my favourite. It’s so pretty, classic and very feminine. More than a Glimmer is glittery and sparkly! I’d wear this one if I was going out somewhere and wanted to dress up a bit. Pink-ing of You is more my style.
OPI Pink of Hearts 2013 Duo will be available in September and October 2013 at professional spas and salons across Canada. It retails for $19.95 per set. Remember this is a limited edition set so get yours while you can! It’s also an important cause and one that I fully support.
Also making its debut this month are two new granite-inspired shades in the Designer Series by OPI Collection. They are DS Pewter and DS Lapis and both feature a matte textured finish with mineral like reflections. DS Pewter is a deep silver metallic colour and DS Lapis is a stunning sapphire blue shade.
Both shades are both edgy and glamourous. I adore the DS Pewter. It’s dazzling and sophisticated. It’s a matte finish so there’s no top coat required. I love the texture. It feels gritty when I run my finger across the nail.
Both of these new shades are available at the beginning of September at professional spas and salons across Canada. They retail for $14.95 each.
